You can get MMS (picture messaging) on your 2g iPhone after all! These instructions are for T-Moible, but will work for other carriers too, you just have to google the MMS info.

Instructions

After unlocking your 2g iPhone, go into Cydia, install ActivateMMS2G and restart your phone. This will enable you to access the MMS options in Settings -> General -> Network -> Cellular Data Network. After just add your MMS info for your carrier. You can find it relatively easy with a google search.

I tried a few for T-Mobile but this seems to work the best for me. Make sure your APN settings are the same.

  4. If the Cellular Data APN needs to be set to wap.voicestream.com, does it disable T-Mo’s Edge since the it needs to be set to epc.tmobile.com?

  6. I’ve to the setting in there and the camera icon shows up on the text screen, but when I send a pic, the Sending status bar gets nearly to the end, then I get a red Exclamation point next to the photo and it tells me to try again.

    Anyone else getting this too?

    @Cheap iPhones: that happened to me to, i tried a bunch of MMS settings i found online, and this one worked for me. try searching online for a couple of other options.

  10. I found that i am not able to send multiple people the same text msg at the same time. im not too sure if its the plugins i installed or a bug with the os, anyone else getting the error?

  16. I dont have the Cellular Data Network and I did download APN editing in Cydia, still nothing is showing????? Any ideas whats going wrong? I have camera icon, MMS says sending and does send without any errors. NO ONE is receiving my pictures, not even me…
